THE ROLE
Reporting to the Group Inventory Planning and Quality Manager, we currently have an opportunity for a Full Time Junior Demand Planner to join the Buying and Merchandising Division at our Store Support Centre located in Derrimut.
The purpose of this position is to assist in managing the investment in inventory utilising the demand planning system, keeping within the businesses stock budgets and open to buy. Additionally, to analyse the performance of the assigned categories, looking for continual improvements in sales, in stock turns and in stock position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimise the investment in store inventory, and increasing stockturns by reviewing orders / Monthly OTB for assigned Categories
- Accurate Forecast by site/sku for assigned Categories
- Review product performance in stores, forecast accordingly and make recommendations for further action to stores and department heads & category managers
- Maintain & analyse stock replenishments process by category for all company stores processes (including monthly OTB & buying plans)
- Set up of new store orders and stock levels to make sure a smooth store opening
- Ensuring appropriate stocks are in stores for promotional campaigns, including for winter and summer catalogue range changes
- Assist in the clearance process for each store by identifying issues and managing further action in store including outlet stores
- Ensure products are allocated correctly and new items are put on replenishment in a timely manner
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role you will have:
- 1 to 2 years’ previous stock experience within retail
- Sound computer skills, with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel in particular)
- Numeric skills & detailed oriented mindset
- Proactive and results driven attitude
