About the position

This is a newly created Financial Reporting Manager position will involve you working closely with the finance team to deliver month end close and financial reporting for the Group; and operate as the primary Finance Business Partner supporting the various HPX Group businesses.

As a senior member of the Finance team, you will be key to providing financial insight and analysis to the operational, financial and strategic decision-making processes. This role involves overseeing revenue and cost management, implementing financial controls, assisting with forecasting and budgeting, and interpreting financial information for management, while ensuring that financial practices are in line with management and statutory reporting requirements.

More specifically, responsibilities include:

Finance Business Partnering

  • Working closely with the Data Analysis function to provide timely and accurate financial information to support business decision making.
  • Partnering with internal clients eg. Functional Directors, Partners and other business heads to provide business decision support.
  • Providing support to Strategy/M&A team for corporate acquisitions.
  • Responding to financial queries internally.
  • Practice management and finance systems superuser.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to assist with month end close process, review and analysis of results to ensure integrity of segment reporting, providing commentary on variances to budget.
  • Providing guidance to offshore finance transactions team when necessary to ensure accuracy for management reporting purposes.
  • Assisting with the various planning cycles: strategic planning, budget and forecasts.

Finance Projects

  • Finance projects eg. implementation of Practice Management System.
  • Establishing financial accounting and management reporting processes for acquisitions.
  • Other ad hoc projects in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • A passionate, strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on growth.
  • Degree in Accounting, and CA or CPA qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Financial Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, financial analysis and strong reporting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively to deadlines.
  • Engaging, outstanding communication skills, with ability to build rapport with stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a hyper growth environment, with strong attention to detail, and problem-solve
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Business Central experience an advantage (however not essential)
