As an WHS Advisor with Energy Bay Developments you will
- Assist in development of annual Safety initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of key information for Project Managers and Supervisors to deliver onsite pre-start meeting
- Deal effectively with any employee safety concerns and escalate where appropriate
- Collaborate with The Project Director and Project Manager to review any proposed changes that may affect the health and safety of workers
- Support the Project Management teams with ensuring compliance with Energy Bay, regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Assist in the development of Zero Harm Management Plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Work Instructions, and other Zero Harm risk management documentation.
- Assist Operational team in managing the Visible Zero Harm Leadership program.
- Schedule and conduct internal and/or assist with third-party audits and inspections to meet Energy Bay, client, and legal requirements.
- Obtain, review, evaluate and report on compliance to schedules, targets and objectives.
- Develop, implement and present Zero Harm training programs to improve Energy Bays Zero Harm performance and culture.
- Conduct infield inspections and monthly audits, ensuring a visible in-field presence. High level of detail required in inspection submissions.
You will be successful in the role if you:
- Schedule and conduct safety inspections and audits as per company WHSMS
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with onsite supervisors/safety committee
- Conduct risk assessments for all identified hazards
- Conduct incident investigation
- Collaborate with RTW coordinator for all workplace injuries
- Obtain, review and report on compliance to schedules
- Assist in tender submission with regard to safety input
- Ensure all onsite staff have completed relevant onsite induction.
- Conduct real time management incidents and lead minor and ICAM investigations in response to safety incidents in the workplace and on worksites.
- Injuries managed to company and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate and collate mandated reporting requirements to Operations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Possess Cert IV in WHS or similar
- Have previous experience in driving the creation and maintenance of a strong safety culture with employee workforce.
- Have experience in leading investigation of incidents
- Have experience in leading risk assessments
- Are proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Procore
- Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Have demonstrated ability to effect change to achieve safety targets over a sustained period with direct employee and subcontract workforce through change management
- Have excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to drive outcomes.
