Description:
This leadership role oversees the management of our aquatic centres and operational programs. It requires extensive industry experience and business management skills to effectively lead and develop lifeguards, program coordinators and administrative staff, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-level customer service.
About the role:- Provides high-quality facilities and services across Council’s Tweed Regional Aquatic Centres (TRAC), including managing and growing aquatic programs and operations.
- Promote the facilities and establish the TRAC brand within the community, ensuring a high level of customer-focused service.
- Ensure all aquatic facilities meet relevant guidelines and legislative requirements and provide accurate financial and attendance reports to maintain sustainability.
- Leads and develops our team of lifeguards, program staff, and administrative personnel, fostering a motivated and effective workforce.
- a base salary ranging from $95,331 per annum with competency-based increments up to $100,145 per annum, plus 11.5% super (as per the Aquatic Centre Enterprise Agreement).

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Facility Management or other relevant discipline, plus substantial experience in managing and developing aquatic or leisure facilities.
- Proven track record in managing and enhancing aquatic programs and operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality facilities and customer services.
- Ability to promote facilities and establish a strong brand presence within the community, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of aquatic facilities lifeguards, programs and administrative staff to provide high-quality customer service.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in developing and motivating a diverse team of lifeguards, program staff, and administrative personnel.
- Working with Children clearance is required before an offer of employment is made.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
