Job Summary: As a Road Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling, allocation, and coordination of transportation resources. You will work closely with drivers, clients, and the operations team to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of goods, while optimizing routes and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the allocation of drivers and vehicles for scheduled deliveries.Monitor transport operations and resolve any issues or delays.Maintain and update transport schedules and communicate changes to relevant parties.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.Assist in managing driver schedules, ensuring appropriate rest periods and efficient use of resources.Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and support.Liaise with customers, providing updates and resolving any issues related to transport.
Requirements:
Proven experience in road transport allocation, logistics, or a related field.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.A team player with the ability to work independently when required.
Desirable:
Experience with fleet management – Allocations in Air and Sea Freight.Previous experience in customer service and/or client-facing roles.
