We are seeking a full-time Senior Data Analyst to join our team in our Sydney office.
Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Consulting
-
Query databases to answer analytical business questions, build high-performing data models, and apply data visualisation techniques to identify and communicate insights relevant to the client’s use case.

Analyse and interpret data to produce meaningful statistics, detect trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

Prepare presentations and written reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Implement and adhere to data management processes to ensure ethical data usage and compliance with governance standards.
Product Development & R&D

Work with our team to develop and "productionise" product features and functions using a combination of Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

Automate data processing tasks using SQL, Python, or R (e.g., validating data against external APIs such as Google).

Design and develop effective analytics dashboards and self-serve tools using a combination of Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, dbt, Python, or JavaScript.

Evaluate and improve data collection, storage, processing, and validation frameworks to enhance data reliability.
Data Science & Advanced Analytics

Apply machine learning techniques to solve business problems, including churn prediction, customer segmentation, propensity modelling, and text clustering.

Develop new analytical approaches, leverage alternative data sources, and apply advanced visualisation techniques.

Write custom scripts to conduct complex analytical tasks and optimise data workflows.
Capabilities & Experience

A relevant tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of working experience in data analytics or a related field.

Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one other data programming language (e.g., Python or R).

Experience with at least two data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).

Strong understanding of data modelling techniques and experience in applying machine learning models.

Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex data challenges.

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
