About the Role
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. In this full-time role, you will report directly to the Financial Accountant and be based in our vibrant Ashmore office.
This position offers an initial 12-month contract with the potential for a permanent role. You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of accounting duties, gaining valuable experience and contributing to our financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable: Manage billing processing, receipting, debtor management, customer queries, and debtor reconciliations.
- General Ledger: Conduct Bank, Credit card, and Petty cash reconciliations, along with other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Tax Reporting: Assist with BAS, PAYG, and FBT reporting.
- Accounts Payable: Handle invoice and verification processing, liaise with suppliers, manage payment runs, and perform creditor reconciliations.
- Administration and Team Support: Perform various tasks as the Financial Accountant/CFO requested and provide team backup as needed.
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding and extensive experience in managing Accounts receivable, Bank and other Balance Sheets reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills, including dealing with Elderly, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse environments.
- Must hold a Tertiary qualification in Accounting or finance-relevant
- Previous experience in a similar role (min 3 years)
- Advanced knowledge and ability using computer packages and accounting software - MYOB, Outlook, Excel, Word, ELMO HR & Payroll system, and AlayaCare (Advantage)
- Self-motivated with great attention to detail
- Desire to work within a team environment but able to work independently when required
- Strong time management with the ability to prioritise deadlines
- Hold a current National Police Certificate or can obtain one
- Must have valid working rights in Australia.
