Calling all landscape maintenance champions! Are you ready to take the lead and guide a team of like-minded green thumbs? At Garden Life Landscapes, we’ve been crafting and maintaining beautiful gardens across Brisbane for over a decade, and we’re seeking a highly competent Maintenance Team Leader to join our expanding team and oversee our Four Man Crew and Large Truck set up. With a reputation for excellence in both residential and commercial projects, we’re not just about plants—we’re about people.
Your Days Will Look Like:
- Leading a large crew of four to maintain top-notch landscaping for our residential and commercial clients, ensuring every garden looks its best.
- Overseeing and managing the large crew cab truck that supports your team.
- Planning and organising daily tasks, coordinating with your team to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Mentoring and training new team members in horticulture techniques and safety protocols, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Performing high end residential and commercial garden and lawn maintenance + soft-landscaping tasks like planting, mulching, and installing garden features, all while keeping an eye on quality and detail.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Qualifications & Experience : A Certificate 3 in Horticulture and at least 2 years of industry experience. A current police check or the ability to obtain one.
- Soft-Landscaping Skills : Experience in soft-landscaping is desirable. You know your plants and have a knack for making them thrive.
- Attention to Detail : You’re methodical in your work, balancing efficiency with high-quality outcomes.
- Communication & Leadership : Exceptional communication skills and positive leadership style—clients and team members alike value your clear, encouraging interactions.
- Industry Knowledge : Thorough understanding of landscape maintenance practices, safety protocols, and work health and safety legislation.
- Problem-Solving Abilities : You’re confident in overcoming unforeseen challenges and always find a smart, efficient solution.
- Team Spirit : You lead by example and know how to motivate your team to achieve great results.
