About the role
The Financial Administrator is responsible for bookkeeping and other administrative tasks in managing the executives’ offices. This includes:
- Undertaking and reconciling the procure-to-pay process across their portfolios.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
- Ensuring compliance with ATO, ASIC and banking requirements.
- Assisting external tax and legal advisors.
- Administration assistance including of key agreements such as insurances, leases, and ad hoc office support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal approval processes in order to process payments.
- Monthly corporate governance reporting.
- Administration of bank accounts, insurance policies, lease agreements etc.
- Prepare complete and accurate financial reports and provide explanation where required.
- Undertake finance administration tasks (payment processing, record keeping, filing).
- Maintain accounting software (Xero) records (bookkeeping entries, reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, loans etc).
- Liaising with internal and externals accountants and lawyers.
- Reconciliation and preparation of monthly and quarterly business activity statements (BAS).
- Any other duties as requested from time to time.

Key skills and experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping, or similar role
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and a high degree of initiative
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Experience across a wide range of accounting functions
- Proven organisational and multitasking ability to achieve results
- Strong level of accuracy
- Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload
- Able to work autonomously and as a member of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (Xero) is a plus
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
- Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
