The Role:
The Sales Associate / Tailor [Full-time/ Part-time] is a hybrid role where you can showcase your expertise in altering garments while providing exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for basic sewing tasks of hemming, ironing, and altering of garments based on the specifications, needs, and preferences of our customers. You should demonstrate sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques and be confident in performing basic tailoring with experience in using industrial sewing machines.
With a focus on providing a holistic customer experience and ensuring utmost customer satisfaction, you will also provide operational support on the sales floor and/or back of house when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting and greeting all customers in a friendly manner.
- Helping customers with any of their needs.
- Maintaining excellent shop floor standards and cleanliness.
- Providing exceptional service at the fitting rooms and checkouts.
- Processing of deliveries, maintaining tidy stock and equipment/back of house areas.
- Replenishment of stock and display changes on the shop floor.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or customer service roles preferred.
- The desire to achieve the best in whatever you do.
- Ability to be approachable and comfortable talking to a range of customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Can follow detailed instructions and processes quickly.
