- Develop, implement, and manage workplace health and safety programs in compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of WHS professionals supporting Enerven’s NSW projects
- Lead or facilitate comprehensive construction risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement across our current and emerging projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver safety programs, workshops, and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety policies, procedures, and controls, and recommend enhancements as necessary.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to management, supervisors and employees on safety-related matters.
- Conduct audits and assessments of contractor safety management systems to ensure compliance with Enerven standards.
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role within the electrical, construction or high risk industries.
- Diploma or equivalent in Work, Health and Safety
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, preferably within the energy and infrastructure industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels.
- Qualifications and experience in root cause analysis investigations
- Experience in managing a team
- Experience in the energy and infrastructure industry is preferred, but candidates from other industries with relevant transferable skills will also be considered.
