About the role
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst with a strong passion for threat analysis and a proven ability to assess and respond to security incidents to join our team. This is a permanent position based at our Perth CBD office.
You will be accountable for the following:

Analyse security alerts, threat intelligence feeds, identify relevant threats to Iluka, and implement appropriate countermeasures

Investigate and respond to security incidents, suspicious activity, including phishing attacks, malware infections, and data breaches

Perform vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation efforts (e.g., patch management, configuration changes)

Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and best practices

Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures, participating in incident response activities (such as containment, eradication, and recovery), and conducting post-incident reviews to recommend improvements to security controls
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH)

Demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security Analyst role

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, along with familiarity with key industry frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and MITRE ATT&CK

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
