The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of primary health and community programs and has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.

If you’re enthusiastic about building relationships, achieving outcomes for the local Aboriginal community, and supporting Community members to access disability or aged care services depending on their needs, this could be the role for you!

About you
You will be someone who enjoys connecting with and advocating for others that may need assistance. You show commitment to your team and your role and ensuring that you are not letting people down who rely on you for help. While no formal qualifications are essential for this role you will have:
Ability to take direction, determine priorities and manage workloads in order to meet agreed timelines and objectives.- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
- Current WA C or CA Class driver’s licence, with the ability to undertake outreach to the Greater Bunbury, South West region, and lower south Wheatbelt.
Desirable Criteria
- Aboriginality would be advantageous for this role but not essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain – paid for by SWAMS)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain – Paid for by SWAMS)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain – paid for by SWAMS)
