The Opportunity:
The Support Leader will provide leadership and mentoring, whilst coordinating day-to-day functions and providing direct client support within Supporting Services. Staff supervision is key to actively supporting employee development and positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and manage a dynamic team in the delivery of programs.
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure excellence in service delivery.
- Directly support young persons to participate in living tasks and the community.
- Mentor Support Workers to ensure compliance with legislation, NDIS standards and policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the young person’s individual support plans and complete documentation.
- Develop routines, schedules and support structures to build the capacity of our participants, and coordinate emergency responses as required.
- Proven experience in Supervisory roles within community or health sectors, with an emphasis on providing care to people living with an intellectual disability.
- Able to apply person centred and therapeutic support models in the provision of services, and an understanding of trauma informed practice.
- Skills to mentor, coach and role model to others, as well as coordinate day to day operations.
- Sound knowledge of NDIS service standards and relevant legislation.
- Strong problem solving and coordination skills with ability to delegate effectively.
- High levels of resilience,and creative problem-solving skills.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Community or disability.
- National NDIS Worker Screening.
- Working with Childrens check.
- Psychological suitability assessment.
- Current, valid and unrestricted SA Driver’s Licence.
- Able to assist with On-Call requirements to provide critical services.
