At Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN), we are seeking a dedicated Nurse Consultant - Infection Control to lead infection prevention and control strategies within Country Health Connect. Reporting to the Regional Manager of Community Nursing, you'll be instrumental in providing expert consultative services, supporting staff training, and implementing evidence-based practices across our community services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Infection Control Program to manage risks and ensure staff and client safety.
- Develop and implement policies in line with best practice and legislative guidelines.
- Coordinate education and training for staff on infection prevention and control principles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Analyse data and contribute to the development of quality management initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Registered Nurse with 3+ years of post-registration experience.
- Expertise in Infection Prevention and Control practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with cultural competence, particularly in engaging Aboriginal communities.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs.
