How will I help?
As a Senior Manager, BCM you will support the risk management and monitoring including the implementation and adherence to the risk management framework, policies and controls across the Line of Business. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Senior Manager, or a Manager who is ready for the next step. As a team member of the BCM team, the Senior Manager plays a key role in supporting the Cash and Transactional Banking (C&TB) Product & Pricing Village within the C&TB Line of Business (LoB) on all matters risk & control and supporting implementation of solutions to risk and control problems. It's an expectation of this role to support a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. You will be working as a team of risk professionals, contributing to ensuring the C&TB Product & Pricing Village risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the LoB, Division and Group, and be a trusted risk adviser. This will include staying abreast of changes to policy requirements/guidance and supporting the Village with understanding/embedding rolling out these changes.
You will provide risk expertise in navigating incident and issue rectification, remediation, and regulatory updates for the C&TB Product & Pricing Village by:
- Leading incident verification and root cause analysis activities within required SLAs.
- Facilitating effective collation of information to support compliance assessment within required timeframes.
- Supporting regulatory notices, ensuring factual accuracy of information summarising the breach, root cause, rectification, and remediation activities within required reporting timeframes
- Enhancing issues and incident management practices.
- Monitoring and tracking sustainable rectification and remediation.
- Ensuring any impacts to the Value Chain risk profile as a result of incidents and issues are appropriately considered and updated.
- Conduct deep dive reviews and root cause analysis to identify themes and champion proactive risk management.
You will also:
- Provide controls expertise to assist with identification, uplift or building of controls within the Village. Testing the design and operating effectiveness of those controls.
- Provide effective risk expertise in change initiatives through active participation in and contribution to appropriate working groups and meetings. Being able to provide input into complex risk and compliance related matters that arise within change initiatives.
- Review (and where appropriate develop) key artefacts per required timeframes & stages. E.g. Engagement Plan, Risk and Compliance Matrix, Product Initiative/Closure Paper, Data Protection Impact Assessment/Privacy Impact Assessment, Go/no go memos, Closure/ handover documentation)
- Facilitate JUNO updates for any new/ enhanced key controls (before go-live) and ensuring any control gaps/ weaknesses are recorded as JUNO issues.
- Proactively coach and support the C&TB Product & Pricing Village to build greater risk awareness, culture and maturity – including developing and/or presenting materials.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have 5- 10 years’ experience as a risk management professional with strong banking/ financial services / risk assessment experience, including a material risk policy component related to the relevant risk class. You will have strong influencing and negotiating skills, with a strong background in quality assurance. You will have strong risk management, legal or compliance experience, and ideally have relevant tertiary qualification.
