About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital invites applicants for Gastroenterologists to join our service, in a locum/casual capacity to assist with cover of outpatient and endoscopy sessions and on call rosters as part of new gastroenterology unit.
You will be joining a team of 6 gastroenterologists who currently provide gastroenterology outpatient and endoscopy services with a new inpatient service also shortly to commence.
Werribee Mercy is part of the Mercy health network and is an expanding health service in the rapidly growing south west of Melbourne. It is affiliated with Notre Dame University.
Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
- Current AHPRA registration with general and Specialist registration.
- Conjoint Committee Accreditation with GESA and participation in GESA Colonoscopy recertification program.
- Excellent clinical skills and practice of evidence based medicine and patient centred care.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in and contribute to a team fostering supportive and collaborative relationships.
- Flexibility in working hours (to assist with cover) would be advantageous.
- Post fellowship subspecialty qualifications and/or training eg in interventional endoscopy or IBD would be desirable. Interests in quality assurance processes also would be advantageous.
