Novita provides early intervention, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive technology and disability services to more than 4,300 people living with disability, as well as support for their families and carers. Description

The Senior Logistics Officer is responsible for:

Logistics Operations including:

  • Safely shift, lift, receive, dispatch and store stock within the warehouses both manually and using a forklift.

  • Safely load and unload multiple vehicle types.

  • Interact with Novita IT systems to accurately record stock movements and process Client Orders.

  • Prepare and pack Client Orders suitable for external Courier shipping.

  • Deliver items to other Novita sites and to Clients/Customers.

  • Serve Clients during Client Order deliveries.

Administration and Reporting

  • Provide feedback and contributions to work instruction and procedure development.

  • Ensure the Incident Management Procedure is followed.

Leadership

  • Overseeing the day-to-day tasks of the logistics team, in conjunction with the Team Leader Logistics and Retail Operations and Logistics Manager, to ensure proper coverage of minimum tasks.

  • Coordination and Allocation of courier tasks. This includes Courier JIRAs, Transfer Orders, Sales Orders and Sales Return Orders.

Work, Health and Safety

  • Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all employees under supervision, members of the public or other members of staff in the area of operation.

  • Comply with all Novita’s Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures, including own safety within the workplace, and to report to the Line Manager any unsafe working conditions or practices which could adversely affect the health and safety of one self, other staff members or any clients.


Skills And Experiences

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience with the safe storage of goods and safe operation of a warehouse
  • Experience with using IT systems to manage warehouse operations

  • Good level of verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work productively under pressure

  • Ability to work without supervision, use initiative and prioritise tasks

  • Familiarity with disability assistive technology (desirable only)

Required Licences

  • Current driver’s license

  • Current (high risk) forklift license

Remuneration Package and Benefits

Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
