• Salary: $76,561 to $80,256 - ASO4 - Full Time / Ongoing appointment

Overview:

The Senior HR Officer is responsible for the provision of timely and quality HR advice on a range of operational HR policies and procedures. and will assist with project work within broadly defined guidelines; maintain efficient work practices and contribute to the provision of effective and engaging HR Business Partnering services for DHW.

The Senior HR Officer will support managers in the areas of recruitment and selection; classification management, training and development, HR Governance and compliance.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in the provision of generalist human resource administrative services, including classification management.
• Experience advising on awards, legislation and policies, and applying them successfully to deliver business outcomes.
• Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices and approaches
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to compile written advice on HR issues.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

• A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
