About the opportunity
Primary Purpose/Focus of the role is to provide quality interpreting services for patient care.

Additional items regarding the role can be found in the P.D

Collaborate with Mercy Hospitals Multicultural Services Team to assist in cultural appropriate patient care.

Experience in interpreting in acute hospitals in Australia, including knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

To thrive in this role, you will have skills and and the ability to -

Provide interpreting services at consultations with health professionals throughout the hospital and satellite clinics as requested

Maintain an accurate record of bookings, including cancellations and rescheduled appointments, and document the outcome of each service request

Liaise with the Interpreter Bookings Coordinator in relation to bookings
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
