About Cemeteries & Crematoria NSW
Cemeteries Crematoria NSW (CCNSW) is a statutory agency created in 2014 under the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 (the Act). CCNSW supports and regulates the interment industry, including cemetery and crematoria operators, in NSW. We assess the interment needs of the state’s growing population and develop planning strategies to ensure there is enough cemetery space to adequately service the needs of the people of NSW. We also ensure the services offered by the interment industry meet community expectations and comply with regulatory requirements. We provide information to the public and the interment industry on relevant regulation governing interment in NSW.
Our vision is that all people in NSW have access to sustainable, affordable and culturally appropriate services provided in a consistent, transparent and accountable manner. The CCNSW Board oversees the agency and provides strategic direction on all of its statutory responsibilities.
About the role
The Customer Service Coordinator coordinates and provides services to interment sector operators, customers, stakeholders and the public by providing information and responding to queries and complaints and escalating complex complaints to subject matter experts and/or senior staff. The role also undertakes project management activities to support and deliver a range of customer related projects.
