Rehabilitation Assessment Team Manager | Part-Time 64 hours per fortnight
The Opportunity
With the current incumbent retiring in May 2025, we seek an experienced Nurse Manager to join our senior leadership team, leading the Hospital’s Rehabilitation Nurse Assessment Team. This role is crucial for sustaining high inpatient activity levels. The Assessment Team independently reviews off-site referrals to determine patient admission suitability. Managing expectations and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships is essential.
The successful candidate must handle challenging conversations, be flexible, take initiative, and empower team members to work independently.
About you
You will have:
- Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience within an acute care setting.
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in rehabilitation
- Previous experience in a NUM, ANUM or similar role
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of private health fund requirements
- Post-graduate studies in an appropriate speciality or management qualifications or working towards the same.
Renumeration : On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $62.45 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
