The opportunity:

To support our Campbellfield workshop, we are seeking a qualified Body repairer with a body building background that would like to join a well performing team and be a part of Kinetic's growth journey. You will get access to top industry tools, equipment and facilities that will help you complete high quality spray painting and body repairs on our bus fleet.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Assessing all damaged vehicles and deciding how best to repair them as well as estimating time and cost for repairs.
  • Various repair work including body smash repairs, panel replacements, rust removal and paint restoration.
  • End-to-end painting process of vehicles - sealing, sanding, masking, priming and spray painting.
  • Cut & polish detailing to prepare vehicles for services.
  • Ensuring all repairs meet industry compliance requirements and company expectations.
  • Mentor and assist Apprentices and Trade Assistants as required whilst making sure they complete all relevant work safely and at the required quality.

The boxes you’ll tick:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Body Building/Refinishing Technology or other relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience in spray painting and panel/body repairs on heavy vehicles.
  • Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good understanding of workshop operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
