The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in the State. Its Registry has two arms - Civil and Appeals & Crime. About the Role
The Supreme Court of Victoria is seeking two motivated, team focused individuals to join the Civil arm of the Supreme Court Registry. The Registry provides services to the judiciary, legal profession, Court users and the public. Senior Registry Officers are responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative support functions within the Registry.
Senior Registry Officers are responsible for undertaking a variety of specialist functions within Registry including:
* Providing information and authoritative advice on Court procedures and practices to court users.
* Coordinating case management tasks including the filing, listing and processing of proceedings before the Court and the authentication and processing of orders.
* Taking receipt of checked documents and completing financial transactions (via counter service or electronic filing facilities).
* Contributing towards the overall improvement of Registry by training, supporting and supervising staff in their learning and development, and initiating improvements to practices and procedures where appropriate.
* Maintaining the Court's electronic case management system, filing of documents/correspondence, file maintenance and preparation.
* Maintaining and monitoring lists of cases and liaising with the chambers of judicial officers to ensure the smooth operation of the Court.
* Establishing and maintaining trusting working relationships with Registry lawyers and Associate
