We’re partnering with a leading Australian bank embarking on a major 2-year Risk Transformation Programme within its Lending division. As part of this critical initiative, they’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team and play a key role in fast-tracking the development and delivery of an enhanced Credit Operational Model .
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive, curious BA who enjoys diving into complex processes, working closely with stakeholders, and challenging the status quo to drive real outcomes. You’ll be analysing the current state of credit and risk operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping shape the future state design that aligns with the bank’s broader risk and lending transformation objectives.
You’ll collaborate across multiple teams—Risk, Credit, Operations, and Technology—to gather insights, validate recommendations, and support the delivery of key change initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into current state risk and credit operational processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations to design an enhanced future-state credit operating model.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working groups to gather information, validate solutions, and drive consensus.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across Risk, Credit, Operations, and Technology.
- Use Excel to conduct analysis and PowerPoint to create clear, compelling presentations and deliverables.
- Manage project change deliverables using JIRA .
- Be an active problem solver who pushes for clarity, gets into the detail, and comes back with answers.
- Commit to hybrid working, with at least 2 days per week in the Sydney office .
- 5-7+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally within banking or financial services .
- Lending experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong experience in process analysis , operating model design , and risk transformation projects.
- Hands-on approach with a proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and challenge constructively.
- Proficiency in Excel , PowerPoint , and JIRA .
- A proactive, go-getter mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Risk and credit transformation experience is a bonus, though they’re open to seeing a range of BA profiles with different backgrounds and rates.
