My client is a high-performing Global Investment Bank with a great reputation, excellent leadership and a high-profile client list. Due to growth, the team is looking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to help them execute a strong pipeline of General Industrials deals.The ideal candidate will have gained experience in investment banking, M&A Advisory, financial modelling, corporate development.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory engagements.
- Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams, clients, and third-party advisors (legal, accounting, tax, etc.).
- Draft and oversee the preparation of key transaction documents, including information memoranda, management presentations, and investment committee materials.
- Conduct valuation analyses using methodologies such as DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support M&A advisory work, ensuring accuracy and scenario planning.
- Assess financial statements, key performance indicators, and industry trends to identify value drivers and risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and providing strategic insights.
- Support senior bankers in developing and maintaining client relationships through high-quality pitch materials and advisory insights.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including private equity firms, corporate executives, and institutional investors.
- Monitor capital markets, valuation trends, and deal flow to support origination efforts.
- Assist in identifying and developing new M&A opportunities through market analysis and industry relationships.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and strategic recommendations to support new business development.
- Mentor and oversee analysts, reviewing their financial models, presentations, and research to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and operational advisors, to drive seamless deal execution.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related financial services roles
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Proficiency in financial research and data analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Knowledge of industry regulations and financial markets
