Facilities and Property Manager – Leading Eastern Suburbs SchoolJoin a prestigious Primary/Secondary School in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs, and take on a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a secure, efficient, and dynamic environment.
This diverse, hands-on position offers a blend of facilities and property management, maintenance, WHS, security, and bus services. Lead from the front and ensure the school operates seamlessly across all aspects of its infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of school buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Supervise internal and external maintenance staff, ensuring quality standards
- Negotiate service level agreements with vendors and contractors
- Regularly inspect facilities, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards
- Develop and implement Fire Safety and Security Plans
- Manage tenders, contracts, and projects for repairs, renovations, and upgrades
- Oversee contracts for cleaning, gardening, security, plumbing, and electrical services
- Ensure security of the school property, swiftly resolving any issues or complaints
- Proactively plan for facility enhancements, focusing on grounds and gardens
- Maintain and update the Workplace Health & Safety policy
- Coordinate external bus services and manage the use of school facilities by external parties
- Proven experience (approx. 5+ years) in all-round facilities/property management, ideally within a school or an educational environment
- Exceptional multitasking and time-management abilities, thriving under pressure
- Strong communication skills to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Creative thinker with a focus on optimising and improving facilities
- Solid experience in project management and change implementation
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive with a hands-on approach
