The Role

We are seeking a motivated Retail Area Manager to oversee Dermalogica locations, perform high quality treatments and ensure impeccable operational standards. The Retail Area Manager will support our various key accounts within Sydney and the greater region and to lead our team of Beauty Therapists on Dermalogica Skin Bars located in David Jones stores.

This role includes a $18,000 p.a. car allowance, $80 p.m. phone allowance, company laptop and a commission structure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert in Dermalogica skincare treatments and product knowledge.
  • Lead, support, and motivate teams in David Jones, Mecca, and Priceline stores.
  • Induct and onboard new therapists and staff.
  • Manage rosters, including leave planning.
  • Conduct performance reviews and probation meetings.
  • Handle customer complaints and difficult conversations professionally.
  • Monitor and analyse store KPIs and set targets.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Drive sales targets and growth, supporting team performance.
  • Manage stock levels and order consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with Dermalogica OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Act in accordance with Dermalogica Code of Ethics and organisational values.

Daily Tasks:

  • Perform advanced skin treatments and consultations.
  • Conduct team meetings to discuss KPIs, tasks, and training needs.
  • Promote monthly promotions, events, and professional treatments.
  • Encourage continuous team development and training.

About You

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy
  • Higher School Certificate
  • Previous experience working with Dermalogica an advantage
  • Two years industry experience, previous management experience desirable

  • High degree of integrity and empathy, understands how to deal with and resolve any team issues and can anticipate how this may impact others
