Senior Fleet Officer

Queensland Government
Brisbane Full-day Full-time

Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Fleet Officer (AO6) to manage our government vehicle fleet, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably.

In this permanent, Brisbane based role, you’ll oversee vehicle procurement, leasing, disposals and reporting while driving initiatives like the transition to electric vehicles.

If you love helping people, problem-solving and making a real impact, this is the role for you.

Join us as a Senior Fleet Officer and play a key role in keeping our department moving.

In this permanent Brisbane-based role, you'll manage vehicle acquisitions, disposals, and reporting while driving sustainability initiatives like the shift to electric vehicles.

You'll work closely with suppliers, government agencies, internal business teams and members of the Queensland Judiciary to make sure our fleet runs smoothly, efficiently and cost-effectively. With opportunity to improve processes and introduce smarter ways of working, this is a chance to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate procurement, leasing, and disposal of government vehicles.
  • Provide expert advice on fleet utilisation and cost-effective management.
  • Develop and review policies, procedures and reporting frameworks.
  • Work with vendors, internal stakeholders and external providers (e.g. QFleet).
  • Support the transition to electric vehicles to meet sustainability targets.

Who We're Looking For

We're after someone with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for helping people and improving processes. If you have experience in fleet leasing and operations, and can juggle competing priorities while keeping an eye on the big picture, we'd love to hear from you. A background in government fleet management is ideal, but if you have transferable skills and a willingness to learn don't hesitate to apply!

Why join us?

  • Permanent role with real career opportunities.
  • A chance to modernise fleet operations and drive sustainability.
  • A collaborative and supportive team that values client service.
