The Role

This entry level lab position is a unique chance for you to expand your sampling and testing skills and gain practical hands-on experience in state-of-the-art laboratories.

This position requires a Monday to Friday roster.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Laboratories WA you will undertake compliance testing related to cement & lime manufacturing processes. This will include a broad range of testing, sample preparation, equipment calibration and computer-based analysis.

In this role you will gain exposure to many departments across our cement and lime sites nationally presenting a great opportunity for the right person to kick-start or re-create their career path.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate results in a timely manner and meeting customer expectations
  • Develop effective positive working relationships within a close team environment
  • Adhere to procedures and work systems in a systematic, methodical and safe manner
  • Apply initiative and actively provide calculated recommendations for improvement

What you will need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualified in relevant scientific discipline and/or previous laboratory experience
  • A commitment to safety, quality and the environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to apply initiative and work as part of a small team
  • Australian drivers' licence
  • Forklift licence would be highly regarded but not essential
