As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to strengthen the presence in Western Australia.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing reseller relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role involves a mixture of face-to-face client interactions, lead follow-ups, and market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Reseller Engagement: Conduct regular site visits across WA, providing product knowledge, samples, and expert advice to ensure resellers can effectively promote the range.
- Lead Management: Follow up on trade and retail inquiries via phone and email, converting leads into sales opportunities.
- Market Development: Identify and pursue commercial projects, managing the sales cycle from specification to installation.
- Presentations & Networking: Deliver in-person and virtual presentations to rre-sellers, trades professionals, architects, designers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work alongside other BDMs nationwide to align strategies and share market insights.
- Sales Expertise: 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within building materials or the trades industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with decking, cladding, or related products is a strong advantage or a general knowledge of the trades or building industry.
- Relationship Builder: Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster long-term client partnerships.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and CRM systems (Act Today experience is a plus).
