We are seeking an experienced Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Wunan’s risk, quality, and safety frameworks. This role ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and strengthens organisational resilience through effective risk management and safety strategies.
Your areas of responsibility would include:
- Risk Management;
- Legislative and Regulatory Compliance;
- Quality Management and Continuous Improvement;
- WHS and Compliance;
- Policy, Procedures, and Document Control;
- System Development and Support.
Your role would be across all of the Wunan entities, which include social enterprises: Indigenous Accounting and Business Support (iBASE), Wunan Health & Well-Being Centre, Lily Lagoon Resort & Wunan Maintenance Services which have both a social and commercial return. Wunan also has 9 commercial and 13 residential properties and shares in investment portfolios (some via subsidiary entities) and is a 50% joint venture partner in Job Pathways.
Critical Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in risk, quality, and safety assurance roles;
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks relevant to WHS and organisational compliance;
- Demonstrated experience in internal auditing, incident management, and continuous improvement processes;
- Proven leadership in developing and promoting a strong safety culture; and
- Proficiency in compliance and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, LOGIQC)
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Risk Management, Quality Assurance, WHS, or similar fields;
- Experience working in Indigenous communities or not-for-profit organisations; and
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and engagement
Pre-employment requirements
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (not older than 6 months)
- Current Australian unrestricted ‘C’ class Driver’s license
