About your new role:
We are seeking a Leisure & Therapy Partner to join our team in Albany. You will help promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents by partnering with them to be involved in the meaningful activities of their life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the allied health team to support residents in maintaining optimal functional abilities.
- Actively supporting residents to use and develop their abilities to engage in activities meaningful to residents.
- Ensuring safe and sound work practices that comply with Work, Health and Safety policies.
- Following residents' care plans in the provision of person-centered support during therapeutic activities.
- Encouraging and supporting family participation in the everyday life of their family member.
Skills and Experience
- Experience dealing with dementia clients and residents in relation to leisure and therapeutic activities preferred but not required.
- Cert III in Allied Health is desirable but not required.
- Commitment to providing a customer-centric approach.
- Able to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
