Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per annum (inclusive of superannuation)

This is an exciting time to join BSL as at our Red Energy Arena new build expansions are being delivered by Development Victoria, commencing Q3 2025 with completion due late 2026. This will deliver many new commercial growth opportunities to enhance the sporting, events and entertainment aspects of the bright future of this precinct.
About the role:
As General Manager Finance, you will be the driving force behind our financial success. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring the integrity of financial operations while optimising efficiency across our multi-faceted organisation. Your expertise will guide key business decisions, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. More than just numbers, this role is about shaping the future of BSL and developing sustainable financial strategies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes with precision and insight
- Driving financial sustainability and long-term growth through smart resource allocation
- Overseeing compliance, risk management, and financial governance across the organisation
- Providing strategic advice to the executive team to support major business decisions
- Managing business operations to enhance efficiency and optimise performance
- Supporting and leading financial aspects of major facility developments
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, reporting, and compliance
- Understanding of PAYG Withholding, Superannuation, Work Cover, Payroll Tax, and BAS
- Experience in commercial, sport, or entertainment industries (highly regarded)
- Knowledge of the gaming industry (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience in risk and compliance management within a multi-faceted business
- A strategic thinker with a passion for driving business success
