As the Executive Director Olympic and Paralympic Games Office, this is your opportunity to lead and oversee the whole Games budget, policy, contractual, legislative, and key agency planning and delivery activities, including government services for Brisbane 2032.

The Olympic and Paralympic Office is the front door for the Queensland Government on Games Matters. We are responsible for working with Games partners on the coordination of all government responsibilities for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic games (Brisbane 2032).
In This Role You Will- Lead with oversight of the Queensland Government's commitments under the Olympic Host Contract, including associated legal and financial guarantees and the International Olympic committee Future Host Questionnaire Response.
- Administer the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games Arrangement Act 2021.
- Manage and have oversight of financial commitments and reporting related to Brisbane 2032 including for Queensland Government, OCOG and other Games partners and manage financial reporting and acquittals as required by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
- Lead Brisbane 2032 public policy oversight including Parliament, Cabinet and CBRC processes and submissions and deliver high-level strategic and policy advice and support to the Director-General.
- Facilitate State investment decisions on Games projects and initiatives.
- Lead the engagement with government agencies involved in planning and delivery activities, including government services and secretariate support to senior Cross-Partner Games Groups relating to Brisbane 2032, including coordination and participation in key working group meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across the government sectors, the department and external Games stakeholders to ensure proactive responses and required outcomes are achieved.
- Represent the Office and Queensland Government on a range of high level interdepartmental and inter-jurisdictional committees and subcommittees, stakeholder and interest groups relating to Brisbane 2032 planning and delivery activities.
- Work collaboratively as a senior manager of the department to influence positive outcomes for the delivery of the Games and ensure effective people, financial and physical resource management, underpinned by a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
