This is a part time opportunity (flexible on days and hours per week). In this dynamic role, you’ll play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for residents by developing and delivering engaging, person-centred leisure and lifestyle activities. You'll work collaboratively within a small, dedicated team to create a vibrant environment, both within the residential facility and in the wider community.
- Foster a strong sense of connection and community among residents.
- Support the development of individualised Wellbeing and Lifestyle care plans.
- Facilitate meaningful, purposeful activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and preferences.
- Mentor and support care staff to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and the broader care team to ensure social and emotional wellbeing is front and centre.
- Assist in evaluating and refining recreational programs to ensure ongoing relevance and impact.
- Create a fun, safe, and engaging atmosphere through special events and daily activities.
Requirements About You:
- Passionate about supporting older Australians and making a positive impact.
- Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident in using technology and comfortable with digital care planning tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work within the Aged Care Quality Standards framework.
- Community-focused, with the ability to build external relationships to benefit residents.
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Tasmanian Manual Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
