The Department is Education is seeking a motivated and highly accomplished Policy Officer to join our organisation. This exciting opportunity to support innovative engagement and co-design to design programs and initiatives that support First Nations students to realise their potential.

About The Role

As the Policy Support your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in policy research, analysis and development activities pertaining to effective programs and initiatives to support First Nations students to realise their potential including the collation and analysis of data and review of literature.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and delivery of policy initiatives.
  • Drafting and preparing briefing notes, correspondence, policy and research papers, and other materials on current and emerging issues within schools.
  • Responding to public enquiries regarding state school issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Developing and maintain effective communications and working relationships with key stakeholders.
