About the role
Due to business growth, we are now excited to offer a permanent full-time position as a Parts Store Assistant at our Port Lincoln Branch. This role is responsible for assisting the Parts Store Supervisor in daily operations, customer service, warehousing and inventory tasks and the delivery of parts to our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serving customers of the Port Lincoln retail store
- Inwards and outwards goods handling, packaging, distribution and delivery
- Maintenance of warehouse, stores and showroom areas
- Build and maintain a sound client base promoting high levels of service and commitment to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Assist with clerical functions including the receipting of stock, back orders, and invoicing
- Participate in the annual stocktake of the branch
- Provide clients with information regarding pricing, delivery dates, parts pricing, lead times etc.
- Assist customer with quotations and tenders where necessary and Interpret customer orders when required.
About You
- Customer service experience in a similar retail store environment
- Experience in warehousing and inventory control, including receipting and dispatching orders
- Knowledge of the motor industry and or parts inventory
- Parts Interpreter certification highly regarded
- Automotive Trade Certificate desirable
- Good computer and administration skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Interest in trucks and the transport industry
- Good local contacts
- Current drivers and forklift licences
