About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient, effective, ethical and confidential administrative and secretarial support service to a Director / Team Leader within a mental health service context.

This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of multidisciplinary teams.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to perform confidential effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support utilising contemporary office equipment and software packages.
  • Ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads whilst working autonomously, and to be flexible in changing teamwork environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality, work autonomously, use discretion in the absence of decision makers, and the ability to initiate and finalise action on specific matters within work deadlines.
  • High level of communication, both written and verbal, negotiation and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
