In the RBS Lending Product Line 1 Risk Domain, we are always looking for driven and talented individuals to support our business unlock the dream of home ownership for all Australians.
As a manager, you will be responsible for providing timely and meaningful risk advisory, assessing and managing risks arising from changes, managing complex issues and incidents and proactively partnering with the business to keep the bank safe. You will work closely with RBS Home Buying stakeholders, build intimate knowledge of HB products and processes, and ensure alignment with the Group's frameworks and standards.
On any given day, you will:
- Pre-empt risks, gaps and opportunities, and illuminate the path to pragmatic solutions to ensure HB customers’ experiences are delivered with efficiency and excellence.
- Deliver comprehensive operational risks insights/advisory to aid strategic decision-making that delivers exceptional products and services.
- Uphold ethical conduct and compliance by understanding relevant regulatory obligations and ensuring we take reasonable steps to deliver quality customer outcomes.
- Lead a proactive risk and control culture, ensuring embedment with key project stakeholders and business representatives.
- Work collaboratively with the wider risk team to deliver best practice risk advice across the business.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting for Line 1 Risk and drive data quality in various systems (including RiskInSite and Jira) relevant to enable RBS-wide risk reporting.
We’d love to hear from people who have:
- Understanding and working experience in operational and compliance risks within financial services.
- Knowledge of Home Buying products, processes and systems is highly desirable.
- Strong reasoning and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Well-developed written communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
- Being able to independently deliver for large projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, shifting environment.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
