About the Role
This role plays a crucial part in driving data analytics and insights across the retail energy business. The successful candidate will develop analytical models, reporting frameworks, and customer insights to optimise business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data models to support pricing, customer behaviour analysis, and demand forecasting.
- Analyse large datasets to generate insights that drive business strategy and customer value.
- Create dashboards and reports using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
- Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop data-driven strategies.
- Monitor and assess retail energy market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Support the development of predictive models for churn, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources and business units.
- Present insights to senior stakeholders, influencing commercial and operational decisions.
- Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or customer insights within retail energy or a related industry.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Understanding of energy pricing, customer segmentation, and demand forecasting.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
- A degree in data science, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field.
