Due to continued growth they’re looking to recruit an experienced Procurement professional that has an expert knowledge of sourcing raw materials for multi-site manufacturing, NPD and strategic sourcing of new suppliers who are aligned with the companies expectations for quality and costings.
Role is based in Brisbane and would require relocation.
The Role
Working within a large, complex manufacturing environment this roles responsibilities will focus around:
- Contract management for all raw materials and packaging across the businesses ANZ operation.
- Drive areas of cost reduction across current suppliers, work on developing new suppliers and identify new products within both current and new suppliers which the business can utilise.
- Continue to develop contingent plans for the business focusing on mitigating risks to the businesses supply chain.
- Work closely with the businesses manufacturing team and NPD being the go to person when sourcing continued product and also new materials in alignment with creating new products.
- Drive strong data management within your field, making sure all data is accurate for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continue to ensure best processes and also improve process and frameworks within your category with a focus on and best practice.
- Present to senior leaders within the business short to long term strategies within your category.
Your Background
- 6 Years experience in a strategic procurement role, ideally managing materials within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to understand your category, main suppliers and areas of driving cost savings.
- Expert understanding of both domestic and international market conditions and the ability to plan contingently should issues take place that are out of your control.
- Strong ability to work closely and influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally to drive effective outcomes. This could include product knowledge, negations and the presentation of market research to senior leadership.
- Strong system skills, both MS Excel and ERP - SAP.
- Have the ability to be the link between internal stakeholders and encourage input that will generate the right information which will be used when sourcing new product, in particular to NPD.
- Territory qualified - Degree in Supply Chain or other certification - CIPS, etc - Not essential
