The Position
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the WHS Manager will be responsible for coordinating all work health and safety duties across the group. This will include the following:
- Overall responsibility for the WHS process and training strategy (both external & internal), including policy development
- As company representative, driving and leading a positive ‘safety-first people culture’
- Preparation and coordination of WHS training materials and content for on-going training
- Preparation of timely board and ad-hoc safety reports
- Managing third-party relationships
- Periodic monitoring and audit of all WHS systems, whilst continually evaluating through stakeholder feedback
- Attending operational and toolbox meetings onsite, as required
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following experience, skills and key attributes:
- Demonstrated success in a similar role, with experience gained in manufacturing or operations
- Experience executing tailored WHS training programs
- Relevant WHS qualifications, including knowledge of current employment laws and practices
- Excellent planning, communication and adaptive leadership skills
- Proven reporting, systems and IT skills
- High-level organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A current driver’s license
