Full Job Description
Our client is proudly Australia’s leading steel manufacturing and distribution company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the success of the business by applying customer service skills to ensure customer service standards are met, while assisting the Operations team in achieving growth in intake and gross margin in line with business plans.
The role is primarily responsible for general accounts management, training records and maintenance orders.
The role is a part-time role but may be required to work additional hours to cover periods of leave within the team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work to the required procedures and standards.
  • Maintain the orderliness of the workplace to remove hazards. Report safety hazards and apply immediate controls as necessary.
  • Report injuries and incidents to your manager and apply immediate actions and controls.
  • Ensure Take 5 tracking is up to date.
  • Develop & maintain customer relationships through service excellence
  • Collect scrap collection details from customers and book jobs in the system
  • Provide efficient customer service via phone and email to continuously meet high standards and maximise and promote customer confidence and loyalty
  • Resolve issues related to customer service and delivery in an efficient and timely manner through liaison with other site personnel such as the Trading Team
  • Identify need to refer customer enquiry for technical advice, if and as required (e.g. Trader, Transport, Branch Managers etc)
  • Answer phones and handle customer enquiry. Averaging at 60-70 phone calls per day.
  • Any other tasks deemed within skill set and required for achievement of business plans
  • Enter all scrap purchases in SAP and arrange payments
  • Processing EFT payments
  • Setup new accounts as required (WBS)
  • Daily data entry
  • Management of maintenance orders
  • Ensure all training records and scanned and saved.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a fast paced customer service role
  • Reliable transport
