OVERVIEWThis is an awesome opportunity for a recent graduate in Statistical Analysis, Data Science, or a related field to apply their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment within the fastest-growing media channel in Australia. As a key contributor to the launch of the industry's groundbreaking Audience Measurement System (AMS), this role blends your expertise in data analysis, cloud computing, statistical modelling, or geospatial analysis with administrative support to drive the success of this transformational initiative.
Currently reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Implementation and Education manager and MOVE data team, this entry-level role supports the management, testing, and delivery of output data, provides helpdesk support, contributes to administrative tasks across Data and Software platforms and projects and day-to-day activities.
The MOVE team works closely with the Outdoor Media Association (OMA), the peak industry body and is located in the same premises.
WHO WE ARE
MOVE is the Out of Home (OOH) industry audience measurement system funded by members of the Outdoor Media Association (OMA). It is available through a license for use by OMA Members and Media Agencies.
The OMA is an incorporated, not-for-profit industry body with a current membership of over 50 full-time organisations. Members include JCDecaux, oOh! Media and QMS Media. Membership of the OMA is governed by its Constitution and Code of Ethics which are available at www.oma.org.au

THE TEAM
MOVE is made up of a small dynamic team of software and audience data specialists who work together to provide audience measurement, alongside the OMA marketing and government relations teams. Collectively the OMA and MOVE work together to service the members of the Out of Home industry.
THE CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Provide high-caliber administrative and project support to the MOVE team.
Provide first-line support for industry tools via the helpdesk, including managing user access, responding to data queries, and ensuring data accuracy across cloud-based systems.
Assist with managing audience data using cloud platforms such as AWS, including tasks such as data storage, retrieval, and basic data transformation processes.
Apply foundational knowledge of statistical analysis, SQL and cloud technologies to support data interpretation and reporting.
Support the visualisation and analysis of audience data to inform industry insights and improve data-driven decision-making.
Assist in the validation and onboarding of new sites and locations within the MOVE platform, ensuring consistency and data integrity within cloud-based databases and systems.

In a nutshell:
Demonstrated skills and experience in a support or analytical role, including through work experience, internships, or major course projects.
Experience providing administrative and technical support, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks, coordinate information, and work with cloud-based data systems.
Exposure to data management in cloud environments such as AWS, including basic data storage, retrieval, and processing tasks.
Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Technically savvy with a passion for learning new technologies, including cloud platforms and data tools.
A collaborative team player who is willing to pitch in and support the team as needed.
A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, with knowledge of statistical methods and data visualisation.
A strong interest in audience measurement and applying analytical expertise in a media or data-driven industry context.
