The Opportunity:
We’re working with a leading organisation in the gaming and entertainment sector , currently strengthening its Financial Crime and Compliance capabilities. As part of this strategic focus, they’re seeking an experienced General Manager Financial Crime (AMLCO) to lead their AML/CTF program and act as the designated AML Compliance Officer.
This newly created executive position offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change, lead regulatory engagement, and build a strong compliance culture in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation’s AML/CTF program , ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Act as the designated AML Compliance Officer , managing SMR submissions and AUSTRAC engagement.
- Oversee transaction monitoring, customer due diligence , and high-risk customer reviews.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders .
- Manage and develop a growing team of financial crime specialists .
- Foster a strong compliance culture , delivering training and advisory support across the business.
- Significant experience in AML/CTF compliance , ideally with 10+ years in financial crime roles.
- Proven leadership in highly regulated environments , such as gaming, casinos, or financial services.
- Previous experience as an AMLCO or in a similar senior AML leadership position.
- Deep knowledge of Australian AML/CTF regulations and experience liaising with regulators (e.g., AUSTRAC).
- ACAMS or equivalent financial crime certification is highly regarded.
- Be part of a high-profile organisation with a strong commitment to compliance and transformation.
- Lead a critical function with visibility and influence at the executive level.
