The Opportunity:
We’re working with a leading organisation in the gaming and entertainment sector , currently strengthening its Financial Crime and Compliance capabilities. As part of this strategic focus, they’re seeking an experienced General Manager Financial Crime (AMLCO) to lead their AML/CTF program and act as the designated AML Compliance Officer.
This newly created executive position offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change, lead regulatory engagement, and build a strong compliance culture in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisation’s AML/CTF program , ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the designated AML Compliance Officer , managing SMR submissions and AUSTRAC engagement.
  • Oversee transaction monitoring, customer due diligence , and high-risk customer reviews.
  • Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders .
  • Manage and develop a growing team of financial crime specialists .
  • Foster a strong compliance culture , delivering training and advisory support across the business.
What We’re Looking For
  • Significant experience in AML/CTF compliance , ideally with 10+ years in financial crime roles.
  • Proven leadership in highly regulated environments , such as gaming, casinos, or financial services.
  • Previous experience as an AMLCO or in a similar senior AML leadership position.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian AML/CTF regulations and experience liaising with regulators (e.g., AUSTRAC).
  • ACAMS or equivalent financial crime certification is highly regarded.
