Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for HSE professional to lead a dynamic HSE team for a niche construction / engineering company.
The role will be responsible for:
  • Submissions, coordination, implementation and project management of approved initiatives that are aligned with our client's HSE Strategy.
  • Coaching and influencing HSE personnel to ensure they are supported to achieve HSE initiatives within their area of operation.
  • Engagement with business leaders and key stakeholders in the development of the HSE Management System.
  • Development and management of assurance processes for the HSE Management System.
  • Development of programs to increase HSE leadership capability.
  • Management and continuous improvement of the critical risk management program including reporting, monitoring of performance and maturity of business units.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies – Establish and enforce HSE procedures aligned with industry regulations
  • Risk Assessment & Hazard Control – Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures
  • Systems and Procedures: Development and update of operational procedures and Safety documents.
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting – Investigate accidents, near-misses, and report findings with corrective actions
  • Safety Training & Inductions – Conduct safety training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • PPE & Safety Equipment Compliance
  • Site Inspections & Audits – Perform regular safety inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
The successful candidate MUST have:
  • HSE qualifications with a minimum of a CERT IV
  • Proven experience in an HSE leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the genuine ability to influence at multiple management levels.
  • Experience in the implementation of a Critical Risk Management program.
  • Proven knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Previous experience with Iso 45001 auditing and compliance
  • Experience with Injury Management/ Return to Work
  • Development of critical risk management framework with proven experience of implementation
  • Hold a current and valid qualification in Lead Investigator (ICAM)
