    Who are we looking for?

    We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Water and Environmental Engineering to join School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

    The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at QUT has an exciting position for a Lecturer (Level B) /Senior Lecturer (Level C) in water and environmental engineering who is able to provide leadership in both research and teaching within the discipline of Water Engineering and specifically waste water treatment. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team of academics, research fellows, graduate students and industry partners. The role will require participation in fundamental and applied research, including fellowship submissions, grant funding submissions and publications.

    What you need to succeed

  • Completion of a doctoral qualification with experience in water and environmental engineering aspects of civil engineering or a closely related field of engineering
Demonstrated research leadership in the field of water and environmental engineering, including a track record of successfully obtaining grants, publishing in high-quality journals and top-tier conferences, and engaging with industry. Synergy with the School’s and Faculty’s existing research areas in water and environmental engineering Demonstrated ability in teaching and learning, including scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Ability to teach into our civil engineering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to develop internal and external partnerships that extend best practice and realise opportunities for teaching and research. Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture.
