NEPEAN Longwall’s corporate headquarters is located in Mackay, Queensland. This purpose-built facility provides comprehensive after-sales service and support to the region’s customers.
The Opportunity
Due to exponential growth and contract awarded, NEPEAN Longwall is currently seeking a Welder to join the team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Rutherford, NSW.
This position has overall responsibility for the assembly, disassembly and maintenance of all capital and used underground mining materials handling equipment, gearboxes, roof supports, drive line equipment, winching equipment, hydraulic power packs and hydraulic driven equipment. Commissioning of underground coal clearance systems and all work functions related to this.
Daily duties will include however are not limited to;
§ Welding of Structural Steel Assemblies post-fabrication
§ Welding and Fabrication to AS1554 Part 1 SP from workshop drawings
§ MIG Welding (bare wire, flux).
§ Read and interpret technical drawings.
§ Operate relevant machinery as required.
§ Reporting of plant faults/breakdowns.
§ Manufacture, guillotining, welding, grinding, drilling, polishing to trade requirements.

The Right Person
- Current trades certificate or other equivalent qualifications

Salary range is $73,150-78,000 commensurate with experience.
Hours: fulltime
