The Opportunity
Vocus is looking for a candidate to join a team of experienced Solution Architects within the Wholesale and Infrastructure division. This team delivers the Engineering and Operational solutions that support Vocus Infrastructure and customer offerings that are delivered over it.
This opportunity is a 12-month contract.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Developing solutions with Business Stakeholders to design and develop high quality Technical Solutions.
- Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of solution architectures within specific business domains.
- Document the Design, including both standard and customised elements, that describes the proposed end to end solution which is aligned to Enterprise Architecture.
- Working toward timeframes that are aligned to business requirements and inline with Vocus’s core strategic programs.
- Identification and resolution of any issues relating to non-functional requirements e.g. Security, capacity, performance etc.
- Identifying where a solution will require consideration for Regulatory compliance, TSSR compliance, LI and Data Classification Policy.
What you’ll bring to this role
- To be successful in this position, you will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Well versed in Industry best practices and Industry specific frameworks (eg MEF,TMF,ODA) as well a solid understanding of Catalogue based Product, Service & Resource models.
- Demonstrable experience in Solution Architecture on development and remediation projects, integration project experience highly regarded.
- Experience working with Platforms that operate Transmision, IP Network/MPLS, with the goal of orchestrating delivery of Fibre, Ethernet, IP and OTT product provisioning within a Carrier highly regarded.
- Involvement in architecture design and scoping phase of projects which have a technology component and confidence presenting to stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ability to support development work through solutioning, estimations and proposal writing.
- Work with technical leads and other architects to drive the business growth in digital and emerging technology initiative.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business-focused solutions.
- Have experience working in a high-volume professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer-focused approach.
